Cholla Source is a Southern Arizona business offering naturally beautiful cholla wood from the Sonoran Desert. We select pieces for their distinctive forms, textures, and creative possibilities.
Our goal is to connect customers with authentic desert materials for home décor, art, animal habitats, aquariums, terrariums, and custom projects.
We’re happy to help locate particular sizes, shapes, or quantities. Because every piece is naturally formed, each order has its own one-of-a-kind desert character.
No two pieces of cholla wood are exactly alike. Each branch has its own shape, texture, color, and open lattice pattern. These natural variations make every piece unique and give customers the opportunity to choose wood with the character that best fits their project.
Our inventory ranges from small, detailed pieces to larger branches and statement pieces. Some pieces are straight and uniform, while others have bends, forks, knots, weathering, and unusual shapes created naturally over time.
Our cholla wood is collected from our own private property after it has naturally dried and weathered in the desert. Each piece is carefully inspected and prepared before being offered for sale.
Because we handle the wood ourselves from collection through preparation, we can provide customers with more information about its source, condition, size, and intended uses.
